An impressive start to the season has gone by with the Leeds rookie, now it’s time for manager Marcelo Bielsa to fall out of form. Arsenal, meanwhile, are also struggling with the uncertainty they create. Facing each other in this chaotic situation, this will not be an easy match for both of them.
After an impressive series of games since the start of the season, Leeds United are showing signs of going down markedly. Manager Marcelo Bielsa’s team have suffered three defeats in their last four Premier League games.
The Whites have also conceded eight goals in their last two games. This is understandable because Leeds United are a team with a beautiful attacking style and dedication, but their defence is not really sure.
Marcelo Bielsa’s team, despite being highly rated this season, are only 15th in the table with 10 points from eight rounds.
On the other side of the line, Arsenal are also having an under-impressive performance. Arteta’s side suffered a defeat to Aston Villa in the Premier League eighth round.
Since the start of the season, the Gunners have suffered four defeats and are currently 11th in the table with 12 points (two more than Leeds). Not to mention, Arsenal’s dressing room recently added a wave when David Luiz and Dani Ceballos got into a fight in the pre-match training session. It can be said that manager Mikel Arteta is still having some problems operating the Arsenal engine.
The Gunners of London played a really pathetic game as they thrashed Aston Villa 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium. Bukayo Saka’s game had a familiar own goal and Ollie Watkins’ brace buried Arsenal with no mercy. It can be said that coach Mikel Arteta is performing a face that is too unstable this season. In the last five rounds, despite winning two, the Gunners have suffered three defeats. They can beat Man Utd away from home, but they could also lose to Aston Villa or Leicester at home. Currently, the Gunners are only 11th in the standings. They won four, along with four defeats to take home 12 points. Of course it wasn’t a good performance, as Arsenal’s potential was much more highly valued. In their last five leeds encounters, Arsenal drew one and won four. However, with the uncertainty there is, at most Arsenal also only leave with 1 point in the next match.
In the past, the two teams have made 24 encounters, Arsenal have won 12, while Leeds United have done so eight times. However, the last time the Whites won against the Gunners was in 2003.
With a not really impressive performance in recent years, both teams are desperate for a win to improve their position on the rankings. Leeds United will be a strong enough reaed for Arsenal’s ambitions this season and the upcoming match promises to be dramatic and compelling.
