Chelsea will go on to win.
Lampard was doing a great job in the form of huge disbelief earlier in the season. Chelsea spent a lot of money last summer in the transfer market to bring in quality names like Timo Werner or Hakim Ziyech. And it is feared that a manager of a very young age like Lampard will be difficult to solve at the same time so many problems.
In a statement earlier in the season, Lampard insisted that he and his students were fighting to become champions and that Super Frankie had not spoken out. Thiago Silva’s timely return has caused the Blue’s defence to improve dramaticly. Kurt Zouma played very well alongside his experienced teammate from Brazil. Besides, we can not help but mention the presence of goalkeeper Mendy, who with 5 consecutive clean sheets in all competitions has directly pushed the world’s most expensive goalkeeper to the bench. A little nervous before this game about the defence when Ben Chilwell was injured in England’s match against Belgium in midweek. But that’s certainly not a big deal for Lampard at the moment.
On the attacking line, after a period of momentum earlier in the season with new recruits. Chelsea’s attacking line-up is slowly entering form. The more frequent arrival of target man Tammy Abraham has created more space for a speedy And Killer Timo Werner. Obviously, he can’t play, but Olivier Giroud has given a good message to the british man. Objectively, Giroud at 33 is still one of the world’s top men.
Chelsea’s biggest bright point in recent games must surely be Hakim Ziyech. In his last Premier League game, he had six key passes and two assists for his team-mates. A horrible performance that we only often see in kevin de Bruyne. Clearly Lampard was right in his way of deploying his position and putting the Moroccan midfielder in the right position where he could maximly exert his abilities. Against an opponent with a tendency to play deep back like Newcastle, Hakim Ziyech will be the key to finding the Blue’s goal.
To Chelsea, Newcastle have never been an easy opponent
Prior to this round, Newcastle United were 13th in the Premier League table, eight places behind their upcoming rivals Chelsea. But in essence, the gap between the two teams is only 4 points. That is why it is still said that the Premier League is the most attractive league on the planet when the competition between the big and mid-range teams is always very fierce. But fans are not too surprised if Newcastle take one or even three points against Chelsea this weekend as the Magpies at home have never been easy opponents against Chelsea.
As evidenced by the last eight home games they have hosted Chelsea, Newcastle have suffered only two defeats, four wins and two draws. This is a really not easy opponent for a club from West London.
Historically supportive and newcastle have not suffered personnel losses. 2020 is a special season under the impact of Covid 19, teams will have to play with more dense density than usual. For teams that don’t have too many faces to serve for the National Team, Newcastle clearly have a far greater advantage over Chelsea in terms of fitness. Steve Bruce has always been charming with mid-range clubs like Newcastle, beating Chelsea so hard in this weekend’s game will be a bit difficult, but a draw would be a more viable task for manager Steve Bruce.
Possible starting line-up
