European transfer player
Entering a new troubled season has been impacted of the Covid-19 pandemic, Chelsea show a face in contrast to the rest of clubs in Europe. While all teams are in financial difficulties at the end of the 2019-2020 season, Chelsea appears like a true player.
Almost all their transfer targets have landed at Stamford Bridge. Young stars such as Timo Werner, Kai Havertz or the player who have proved extremely high level in the Champions League for Ajax Amsterdam Hakim Ziyech, they are both wearing the blue shirt of London. The quality of these new recruits is not debatable, that gives Chelsea a competitive squad in no.1 European league. Chelsea fans will have little expectation of the Championship, but at least they won’t see their favorite club show incompetence before Bayern Munich when they are head-to-head in the knockout stage last season. But those are thoughts before this season begins. Season 2019-2020, Bayern Munich easily scored three goals at Stamford Bridge, and last weekend, Southampton FC did the same. They are constantly equalised and led by personal mistakes, it seems Super Frankie still has a lot of things to do with his defence. Rookie Thiago Silva is not surely a long-term solution. And if he wants to go far in the European arena, Chelsea need a really quality centre-back in the winter transfer window.
The only good sign of the game last weekend was Timo Werner’s scores. Looking at the way he is pressing, positioning and finishing, Chelsea’s fans can affirm this is not a worthless contract. Especially when “Turbo Werner” has no history of injury. Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz will play together, it promised to be a deservedly expected performance when the Champions League no longer depended on speed and fitness. The Wenger kids are the phrase that describes Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal when their young players have always played naively the way Chelsea are now. The defence is still Chelsea’s “Achilles heel”. We expect Lampard’s change in next midweek match.
Sevilla “poor people-studying well”
In a classroom, if Chelsea is a rich son, always meets, provides with the demands, then Sevilla-a poor boy but the achievement is not bad at all. In fact, Chelsea’s opponents in the midweek game always have to sell off their best talents with tight financial foundations. However, the performance in Europe in the last 10 years is somewhat better than Chelsea.
Sevilla have been dubbed the king of the Europa League having won four league titles since 2014. In the recent championship, they sent off Roma, Wolves, M.U and Inter Milan in an impressive race to the title. Even European champions such as Bayern Munich needed extra time to overcome Julen Lopetegui’s side in the Uefa Super Cup last month.
However, like Chelsea, Sevilla are also performing unstable in the domestic arena. Confusing defeats in recent times have left Sevilla losing to their remaining rivals in the race for the top four. But Chelsea must also be very wary of technically-in-art terms such as Sevilla.
